Incidental findings

The National Research Ethics Committee, in collaboration with national experts from various disciplines and representatives of civil society, has developed a framework for dealing with the issue of informed consent of participants, including how to contact them again if they have consented, if incidental findings occur in the frame of a research project.

The CNER has also developed a minimum content to be included in the informed consent form to allow research participants to indicate their consent to be contacted again. This minimum content is included in the informed consent form template developed by the CNER.

The framework and the informed consent form template can be found in the guidance documents on the "Publications" page.
